Program awards will support the launch of new collaborative research initiatives that address major problems within a field of study and position organizations for future competitiveness and leadership. Up to $15 million in total awards will be distributed in the 2009 program grant competition.

The 2009 Program grant competition is closed. Awards were announced in April 2010. Awards are subject to finalization of LSDF's budget for 2010 and the terms and conditions of a grant agreement negotiated between the recipient institutions and LSDF.
