Awards Selected for Grant Funding - LSDF 2009 Winter Commercialization Grant Competition

LSDF proudly announces awardees for the 2009 Winter commercialization grant competition. The funded studies will focus on validating the commercial merit of novel technologies to prevent catheter-related infections and diagnose the earliest stages of shock. Support for these initiatives comes from - 1. philanthropic funds donated to the LSDF's grant-making activities by Amgen, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Group Health Cooperative, Microsoft Corp., The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, Regence BlueShield, and Safeco Insurance Foundation; and 2. Washington's allocation of bonus payments under the Master Tobacco Settlement Agreement (revenues arising from multi-state litigation with tobacco product manufacturers). This is the fifth cohort of grant awardees funded by LSDF.
